"The same stream of life that runs through the world runs through my veins night and day in rhythmic measure. It is the same life that shoots in joy through the dust of the earth into numberless waves of flowers."

    Rabindranath Tagore

    Rituals

Rituals are a ceremonial act or action preformed with intention and belief that grows more powerful through repetition and connection.
Rituals often involve fasting, purification, meditation, food, drink, tools, symbols, song, walking, dancing, chanting, poetry, spirits and deities.

People of all faiths world wide have been performing sacred rituals since the dawn of time, connecting with deities, the spiritual energy of the universe our guides, spirits, totems, angels, and higher selves.

    Daily Rituals

Finding the time to relax the mind can aid us in so many ways and becomes an important aspect to living. It helps us to know what is self and what is not self as well as to connect us with our higher self and guides.

Set aside some sacred time to do daily rituals such as meditation, yoga, taking a bath, reading a book, automatic writing, or just taking a walk. These rituals allow us to relax and reconnect to our natural abilities to relax and to let nature show us the way to truly connect, listen and be heard.

One's daily rituals become the base foundations for achieving balance in life.

    Power Of Rituals

Our rituals strengthen our relationship with the natural world. Through meditation, words, poetry, chanting, singing, dancing and playing we increase the release of our vibrational energy through self-expression becoming one with the natural world. Unite with the deities. Speak with the spirits and guides. Call upon the elemental powers of fire, air, earth, water and spirit.

The consciousness turns its control over to the subconscious and provides the opportunity for divine spirit connection and communication.
One becomes truly at ease more sensitive and conscious that all beings are interconnected.
One achieves a deeper connection with one's self, with nature, and remembers what it is to be fully alive.
In those moments you are free to see things without layers of judgment and concern that usually cloud our minds.

    The Journey

It is necessary to have intention, faith, focus and positive imagination to attain your goals. These disciplines help guide your mind in a positive direction effectively working with your conscious and subconscious mind to achieve your goals

Finding and performing ones personal rituals, is a wonderful personal journey and healing experience. Whatever the purpose of your journey is, open your senses and allow the light within your energetic being to guide you to the answers.

Often the ritual evolves out of the enactment of the dream or vision. Direct instruction for rituals may come form spirit helpers. Spirit will instruct you through dreams or visions if you ask with an open heart, and look beyond the physical world and see into ones mystical connections to the natural worlds.

Another way for ritual to evolve is by paying attention to ones feelings as one makes or attempts to make sacred or healing actions. The right actions feel good a sense of well being and a connection to the natural world is formed. The magic becomes part of ones soul. Some people experience this quickly, for others it evolves slowly. As with all new endeavors patience and commitment are required.

Rituals may be simple or complicated, trust your instincts while listening to your intelligence do what feels right to you and allow yourself to be fully in the moment.

Planning a ceremony that holds true to your beliefs, spirits and life lessons makes the ceremony special and unique. For example I am a green witch and hold plants and their spirits in special light, the inclusion of plants and their magic make my ceremonies true to my beliefs. During your rituals hold true to your beliefs and fallow your own path.

    At the close of
    your ritual always
    thank the powers
    whose help you
    asked and announce
    that your ceremony
    is completed
    and that you have
    done your ritual to
    benefit all beings.

    Tools

Creating energy for a ritual, meditation or service starts with the tools an individual selects to use. Each tool reflects its own eternal energy. Choose your ritual tools and supplies with awareness and gather them with conscious grace.

Often times spiritual tools will chose you. You may be walking on a trail or past a shop window and notice a peculiar shape or color, or a flash of sunlight on the ground in front of you while out walking.?It beckons you to come closer and request you pick them up. They are doing so because you resonate with them in some way. The vibrational frequency of your physical and energy bodies, is in harmony with their frequency and it calls to you. How can you resist, you just have to pick it up and take a closer look. If you are wise you will take it home with you and create a faithful and loving relationship. [Always remember grace and respect do not brake laws or take from others.]

Energy is inherent in all beings, how your spiritual tools are created starts the process of embedding energy into an object or tool. How ingredients are grown, how and when they are harvested, how they are prepared and in what manner and for how long they are blended and then made, are all essential to creating spiritual ritual tools.

Tools created in nature all have a living spirit whether it is a branch fallen from a tree, a smooth rock from a stream, a molted feather, a shedded antler, or abandoned sea shell. These are all part of the natural world and must be gathered with grace and respect.
Before you take an object, ask and say your intentions. Only take what is offered, ask if it is willing to come with you. One may sense or hear yes or no or the object may be willing to be part of your ceremony for that day or longer and request to be put back where you found it or tell you where it would like to be placed.
Always say thank you for the gift and offer a gift in return. Such as a piece of hair, a little water, a bit of food, a song, a dance what ever you sense will be an appropriate offering.

When purchasing tools one should be aware that not all spiritual tools are created equal. Spiritual tools will always reflect the worldviews of the craftsperson creating the tools and their beliefs will be reflective in the tool's energy. So choose your suppliers with care. Research their practices, policies, and ethics and always trust your intuition.
